Artifact: PASSPORT
1. 2. This is my passport, which I used to get on the flight to Incheon. 3. Primary source, because it was used at the time of my flight. 4. Without my passport, I wouldn't be able to board the plane that would take me to Korea. This passport has record of my basic personal information, identifying me as I enter a new country. 5. This passport was crucial for me to move to Korea. By giving this passport to the ticket counter meant that I had just taken my first step to leaving the comforts of my home in a America to the unknown Korean.
Document: BOARDING PASS
2. This is a part of my boarding pass, obviously only a small piece because it's already been used.
3. This is a primary source because I used in at the time of my flight
4. I think this boarding ticket is important because for me, it really gave me the last-minute realization that I was really leaving my home country. I was really startled by this sudden realization and I began to think about what my new life would be like. Who would I meet, the things I would experience, all of these thoughts just appeared in my mind by this little slip of paper.
5. My second step to getting off of the American soil was a result of this boarding ticket being torn in two. I just became that much closer to departing forever.
Interview: LITTLE SISTER
2. This is an interview with my little sister, Yunna, who was with me for my experience of moving to Korea.
3. This is a secondary source because, although she also moved, she is not looking from my perspective
4. I think that interviewing Yunna gave me a new way to communicate with her and understand how she felt. I found how different our answers were in this moving decision. Also, I saw a new point of view, one that I never really got the chance to know until now.
5. My last stage that puts an end to the journey is a conclusion, a look-back at the end of the day, that really concludes my move to Korea. I look back at my past, my present, and my future that this event has made me think about.
